The signature
A continuous, looped, 17β30 second AR-glitch tableau where a body (or two hands, or a finger on a leaf) is overlaid with white or green tracker IDs, bounding boxes, point clouds, and pseudo-code labels, scored to a distorted electronic ambient drone and captioned with a single classical Japanese Noh fragment plus a quiet "Thank you very much, sincerely." It is not a tutorial and it is not a personality channel. There is no face, no voice, no CTA, no progress arc. Each reel is a self-contained loop of "what would it look like if a machine were reverently observing the smallest gesture." The strategy is restraint scaled into spectacle: the same data-visualization vocabulary, the same forest or domestic frame, the same closing bow, repeated until the catalog itself becomes the brand.
DNA components
| Layer | Recurring device | Frequency in sample |
|---|---|---|
| Visual | White or neon-green bounding boxes labeled `ID: 7-digit` overlaid on subject | 7/9 reels |
| Visual | Pseudo-code text floating in space (`Tensor.2.0`, `int main(){}`, `loop (format 1 "^ | |
| Visual | Point-cloud cutaway against pure black (subject reduced to dots) | 5/9 |
| Visual | Glitch / data-mosh corruption over the live plate | 6/9 |
| Visual | Greyscale or desaturated base footage with one chromatic accent (neon green or orange) | 8/9 |
| Visual | Fixed-frame composition; camera does not move | 9/9 |
| Visual | Subject = a body part interacting with nature (hand + fern, hand + branch, body + forest floor) | 6/9 |
| Audio | Distorted whisper or processed voice ("Thanks to the human heart by which we live") looped as mantra | 5/9 |
| Audio | Glitchy electronic drone with one squelch / squish / buzz texture sustained the whole clip | 9/9 |
| Audio | Field-recorded source (deer, forest) folded into the score, mentioned in caption | 2/9 |
| Structural | Duration 17β30s for new posts, longer (60β90s) for collaboration / showcase pieces | tight band |
| Structural | No on-screen talking head, no creator face ever | 9/9 |
| Structural | No CTA in 9/10 reels. The single CTA reel (NFT drop) is the worst performer in the sample by an order of magnitude | clear pattern |
| Linguistic | Caption opens with a single glyph string (emoji, kanji, or arrow chain) before any words | 7/9 |
| Linguistic | If words appear, they are a classical-Japanese Noh fragment with a one-line English gloss | 5/9 |
| Linguistic | Closes with "Thank you very much" or "Thank you deeply" | 6/9 |
| Linguistic | Hashtags pinned to a stable triad: `#touchdesigner #aiart #contemporaryart` (sometimes swap one for `#newmedia` or `#glitchart`) | 6/9 |
| Linguistic | Never explains the tooling. The caption talks about void, substance, signal, memory, liminal β never about the pipeline | 9/9 |
What Mohamed can take
1. Open with a glyph, not a sentence. [LUME build-in-public / IMPERFECT BUILD / ROOTS] Caption first line is a single emoji or N'Ko letter pair. Force the eye to slow before reading. Replaces the timid "Here's what I built today" opening that flags AI-written copy. N'Ko characters are a natural fit since they read as alien-yet-beautiful to a non-N'Ko audience.
2. Fixed-frame, single-loop composition. [LUME build-in-public, anywhere a body is in frame] One camera, no cuts, 17β25 seconds, one sustained sonic texture, one visual idea per reel. Stops the random-cut-pile that most build-in-public videos collapse into. The wall, the printer, a hand on the test rig: pick one and don't move.
3. Overlay restraint: one color, no English chrome. [LUME build-in-public, EXPLAINER] When you put overlays on top of footage (tracker dots, terminal glow, signal lines), use one accent color over greyscale and never put English UI labels in frame. Numbers and glyphs only. This is the single biggest leak-blocker for LUME content: it looks technical without saying anything technical.
4. The classical-quote frame. [ROOTS series] Caption pattern lifts cleanly: one short N'Ko or Bambara proverb in original script, one quiet English gloss underneath, one sentence of feeling. No third paragraph. The Noh quotes do the philosophical lifting that would otherwise sound like a TED talk if Mohamed wrote it directly.
5. Sound: one texture, sustained. [LUME build-in-public, EXPLAINER] Stop reaching for trending audio. A 20-second sustained electronic drone, or a single field-recorded loop (the printer's whine, the depth camera's fan, a market-stall recording from Kankan), carries more authorship than any matched-trend audio. nouses_kou never picks a popular song. Mohamed shouldn't either, for LUME.
6. No face, no voice, no CTA. [LUME build-in-public, ROOTS] For the LUME aesthetic surface specifically: pull Mohamed-the-person out of the frame entirely on the brand reels. Let the work be the subject. Save the talking head for IMPERFECT BUILD daily, where a human voice serves the build-narrative. The split signal matters: LUME content is monumental and quiet; IMPERFECT BUILD is loud and personal.
7. Mantra-loop a single phrase. [LUME build-in-public, ROOTS] Pick one short phrase ("the wall remembers", "the body writes", a single N'Ko word), distort it through pitch shift or vocoder, loop it as the audio bed. Avoids any "voiceover script" temptation and avoids the writer-voice trap. nouses_kou's "Thanks to the human heart by which we live" loop on 30k-likes is the model.
8. Catalog over campaign. [LUME build-in-public, general voice] nouses_kou does not run hero-reel cycles. He releases the same visual grammar every few days. Build a public catalog: 30+ reels in the same exact aesthetic by Q4. The repetition is the brand. One viral hit landed (377K likes on a 18-second reel with literally a fern leaf and a glyph caption) because the catalog was already deep enough that the algorithm and audience trusted the next one.
What NOT to copy
1. Pseudo-code overlays (`Tensor.2.0`, `int main(){}`). These read as "AI art prop" to a critical audience and they are a direct visual quote of nouses_kou's signature. Doing the same thing would feel imitative inside the same niche. The LUME equivalent has to be a different alphabet entirely β N'Ko inscriptions, score-shaped glyphs, custom typography β not fake source code.
2. Noh-quote-plus-English-gloss caption frame. This is so identified with him in the new-media-art corner of IG that lifting the structure 1:1 would be obvious. The pattern (classical quote + gloss + thank-you) is fine. The specific frame (East-Asian classical-text + English + #touchdesigner) is his. The N'Ko substitution makes it Mohamed's.
3. The "Thank you very much, sincerely" closer. That is his signature sign-off. Mohamed's closer should be its own thing β a word, a glyph, a fragment in N'Ko. Borrowing the bow defeats the purpose of having a distinct voice. Note: the user's CLAUDE.md voice rules separately ban em-dashes and AI-isms; that aligns with the spirit of inventing a distinct closer rather than reusing his.
3 content prompts for this week
Each respects LUME public-content rules: no protocol names, no component counts, no specific hardware names, no naming of reference creators, no architecture leaks. The visuals tease, the words don't tell.
1. "The wall watches a hand" [LUME build-in-public, IMPERFECT BUILD]
- Hook: 21-second locked frame. A single hand opens and closes against a black background. One neon-orange line tracks the wrist. One N'Ko character floats top-right and pulses with the open/close rhythm. No cuts.
- Audio: 21 seconds of the printer's whine pitch-shifted down two octaves, looped.
- Caption: One N'Ko word, one English line ("the body writes."), nothing else.
- Pattern borrowed: fixed-frame + single-accent overlay + glyph-first caption (#2, #3, #1).
2. "Inscription on a leaf" [ROOTS series]
- Hook: 18-second macro shot of a single leaf (any leaf β the one outside the studio). A short N'Ko proverb appears one character at a time, each character settling onto a different part of the leaf as if written by the leaf's own veins.
- Audio: A field recording from anywhere Mohamed actually was this week (street, kitchen, the bar). No music.
- Caption: The N'Ko proverb in original script. One English gloss line below. The closer is Mohamed's own one-word sign-off (decide what that is and keep it forever).
- Pattern borrowed: classical-quote frame (#4), one-texture audio (#5), catalog discipline (#8).
3. "The room remembers" [LUME build-in-public]
- Hook: 25-second locked wide shot of an empty room with no humans visible. Slowly, faint ghost-light traces of a body that was there fifteen minutes ago begin to appear on the wall, frame-by-frame, like the room is replaying a memory. No text, no overlay, no IDs.
- Audio: One sustained low drone, ~120Hz, with a single high glitch every four seconds.
- Caption: A glyph, then one line: "the room remembers." Then thank-you in Mohamed's voice.
- Pattern borrowed: no-face composition (#6), one-texture audio (#5), catalog discipline (#8), restraint-as-spectacle (the signature).
