Diomande
I work in New York. My research centers on speech recognition for the Manding languages written in N'Ko, on autonomous agent systems that account for their own work, and on the daily practice of keeping both at the state of the art.
I also run physical businesses, coffee and plant-based milk, which keeps the engineering honest. A sales route and a training run fail in the same way: quietly, unless you instrument them.
Principles
The script you measure in changes what your numbers mean
An error rate is only meaningful relative to a writing system. Most of my language research follows from taking that seriously for N'Ko and the Manding languages.
Intelligence migrates into the harness
The reliability of autonomous systems comes from deterministic supervision, typed composition, and measured trajectories around the model, not from the model alone.
Verdicts must be falsifiable
A claim about a system, mine or anyone's, needs a named counterpart, a defined test, or cited evidence. Anything else is reading, not research.
Ship the loop, not the demo
A result that lives in a notebook is a sketch. The work is done when it runs on a cadence, survives restarts, and writes its own record.
The work
The research index lists what has survived scrutiny. The absorption log shows the daily practice that keeps it that way.
