THE EXACT UI LAYOUT
The layout must organize itself around one truth:
the body is the center, the latent is the interpreter, and the music is the unfolding world around that center.
The interface therefore radiates outward in layers, with each layer representing a different scale of temporal behavior.
At the core of the screen sits the Latent Orb, a living visualization of the LIM-RPS equilibrium. It is not merely a dot or a waveform. It is a soft, shifting geometry whose properties—shape, glow, spin, elasticity—reflect internal latent structure. When the dancer accelerates, the orb stretches forward in the direction of the latent’s vector. When the dancer slows, it relaxes into roundness. When micro-tension rises, small ripples travel through its surface. This orb is the machine’s perception of the performer and must dominate the viewer’s attention.
Around the orb sits a thin field of force lines, faint threads emanating from the orb’s edges. These lines represent instantaneous curvature of motion: micro-rhythms, rotational acceleration, balance shifts. They behave like magnetic filings around a charged object, constantly rearranging as the latent evolves. This field subtly communicates the dancer’s expressive state.
Flowing outward from the orb toward the right side of the screen is the Phrase Spine, a ribbon-like visualization that represents the currently active generative phrase as a topological object rather than as an audio file. Its thickness represents energy; its color hue represents harmonic density; its curvature shows phrase evolution. The spine is not a timeline. It is a trajectory—a musical filament extending from the orb’s present into the sonic world being generated in real time.
Above the Phrase Spine lies the Generative Horizon, a translucent corridor into which the spine projects. This horizon represents the predicted future latent states. It is where the diffusion model renders future musical motifs. As the latent orb moves, the horizon shifts shape. When the dancer anticipates, the horizon bends forward dramatically, signaling that the system sees movement arc. When the dancer pauses or suspends, the horizon flattens. This is where the AI “dreams” one or two bars ahead.
To the left of the orb sits the Phrase Reservoir, not a crate or deck, but a vertical column of floating phrase archetypes. Each archetype is not a static clip but a cluster of generative possibilities tied to latent features. They drift subtly, as if in a fluid, closer to the orb when they become likely candidates for upcoming phrasing. When the dancer shifts intention, the reservoir rearranges itself to reflect what the system believes might be musically viable next.
Below the orb spreads the Embodied Control Band, a soft waveform-like platform that displays the real-time modulation parameters extracted from the latent: tension, grounding, verticality, rotational drive, micro-beat drift. These are not knobs or sliders but dynamic shapes, swelling and contracting like musculature under skin. They tell the performer how the system is reading deeper embodied qualities beyond discrete motion.
At the bottom-center lies the Somatic Timeline, which is not a timeline in the DAW sense but a compressed history of latent evolution. It shows the last few seconds of the orb’s movement as a trailing path that glows brighter where tension rose and darker where it dissolved. This lets a performer see the emotional narrative of their movement encoded as a visible memory.
In the upper-right quadrant is the Audio Vessel, a simple but expressive meter that reflects the music currently sounding. Unlike DJ meters, it is not divided by channels. It is a breathing container that expands and contracts with phrase structure, not amplitude. It mirrors musical form, not volume. As the phrase approaches a transition, the vessel becomes taut; as it resolves, it softens. This gives performers intuitive feedback for when the music will pivot.
Finally, across the entire interface sits a subtle Ambient Aura, a color field that reflects the macro-state of the performance. It shifts according to global latent characteristics such as expressive mode, energetic plateau, and phrase direction. This aura ties the entire UI together into a single perceptual unity.
The UI never shows a deck. It never shows a track. It never shows a crossfader.
It shows a world. A world shaped by the dancer and realized through latent physics.

CONCEPTUAL SUMMARY OF THE LAYOUT
The Latent Orb is the heart.
The Phrase Spine is the body’s voice turned into geometry.
The Generative Horizon is intention imagined as sound.
The Phrase Reservoir is a cloud of upcoming possibilities.
The Embodied Control Band is the muscular layer of interpretation.
The Somatic Timeline is memory.
The Audio Vessel is musical form incarnated visually.
The Ambient Aura is atmosphere.
This is the only UI paradigm that matches the architecture you have built. Everything in Echelon is centered on latent dynamics and embodied time; the interface must express that.

If you want, I can now design:
• the animation behavior of each component
• the color language and visual grammar
• the ergonomics and interaction model
• the full layout in Figma-ready descriptive specification
• or the motion system that drives the UI’s reactive effects
